Cellulite removal in Kansas City
What Causes Cellulite?
The underlying structural cause of cellulite is the result of tight fibrous cords that pull the undersurface of the skin.
As the cords contract, the skin becomes dimpled and dermal chambers are formed. When these bands compress, they squeeze fat cells and cause them to balloon and raise the undersurface of the skin.
Although not underlying causes, these factors can potentially worsen the appearance of cellulite:
Why Does Cellulite Affect Mostly Women?
As opposed to a cross-hatched orientation in men, the parallel orientation of sub-dermal fibrous bands in women facilitate the development of cellulite dimpling. Estrogen is also implicated in playing a role in the development of cellulite, as is genetics.
